We are pleased to announce the release of our new Spare Time Sports Clubs’ mobile app that integrates with the new club management software we recently implemented.  This announcement provides information on the new mobile app, other online services that are available to members, and our implementation timeframe for these new services.

New Mobile App

The new mobile app offers a variety of new features that should enable you to more easily access and coordinate the club’s programs and services, including:

  • Check-in at the club via the mobile app
  • Make online court and swim lane reservations (at applicable clubs)
  • View the Group Exercise class schedule and sign up for classes online
  • Sign up for various club programs and activities online
  • Purchase personal training and Pilates training packages through the mobile app
  • View and edit your member profile, billing information and notification preferences
  • View your billing statements
  • Access the library of Spare Time virtual workouts that you can do when away from the club

Our Spare Time Mobile App User Guide provides guidance on the features and use of the mobile app.  Two notable changes from our current mobile app are:

  1. Members will no longer have access to the online library of exercises that could be used to demonstrate exercises and build individual workouts
  2. When making online court and swim reservations, there will no longer be a “calendar view” of all the courts and swim lanes. Instead, you can filter your reservation request by searching for all available courts/lanes or by identifying a specific court(s)/lane(s) that you prefer.

Online Member Portal

In addition to the new mobile app, members have access to their member account and various services through our online member portal, which can be accessed via computer or tablet.  Through the online member portal, you can do the following:

  • Make online court and swim lane reservations (at applicable clubs)
  • View the Group Exercise class schedule and sign up for classes online
  • Sign up for various club programs and activities online
  • Make online infant reservations in the Play Center (not currently available through the mobile app)
  • View and edit your member profile, billing information and notification preferences
  • View your billing statements

Accessing the Online Member Portal and Mobile App

Members currently have access to the online member portal at sparetime.clubautomation.com. We emailed login credentials to members with an email address on file in September.  If you have an email address on file with the club and have not yet registered through the member portal, follow the prompts with the Access Your Account link on the login page of the member portal.

If you do not have an email address on your member account with the club, please contact Member Services at the club to add your email address and obtain your login credentials.

The new mobile app will be available for download on the App Store (Apple) and Google Store (Android) on Tuesday, November 29.  Your login credentials on the mobile app will be the same as for the member portal.

Transition of Online Court and Swim Reservations

Online court and swim reservations for usage through the end of November will continue to be made through our current mobile app.

Online court and swim reservations for usage beginning on December 1 will be made through the new mobile app.  Members can make reservations for December 1 starting on November 29 either through the online member portal or the new mobile app.

Members can also make reservations through Member Services at the club if any difficulties are encountered during this transition.

The previous mobile app will no longer be available as of December 7.
